NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube

nfl sunday ticket

When NFL Sunday Ticket first came on the scene nearly 30 years ago, it was a godsend for football fans who lived under the tyranny of regional TV scheduling. During the regular season, it was tough to find a local team game on your television at home, let alone a primetime game with national prominence. In addition, if you wanted to watch the Cowboys, you’d be stuck with either their awful division rival or a matinee screening of 1997’s “Kiss the Girls.” Sunday Ticket changed all that.

Fortunately for football fans, the internet is here to save the day. Now, a new generation of sports fans can enjoy out-of-market NFL games through a variety of streaming services, including YouTube TV and Amazon Primetime Channels. Those who subscribe to either of those services can now also get access to the NFL’s Sunday Ticket service. The new package, which is being called NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube, will debut this season. There are two categories of pricing, with those who already subscribe to YouTube TV getting a cheaper deal.

The new package will cost $300 per season for out-of-market games and $389 bundled with RedZone during the pre-sale period and $489 after. Those who just want the Ticket without RedZone will pay the same price. YouTube will also offer a new monthly payment plan option that works like other buy now, pay later services. This will allow you to pay for the Ticket over four months instead of one lump sum upfront.

In addition to the standard Ticket features such as an NFL-exclusive red-zone channel, YouTube will offer multiple multiview options that show four, three and two games at once. It will also have personalized recommendations, the choice to view key plays and real-time stats, and a setting that lets you hide spoilers, which is something DirecTV never offered.

YouTube will also be adding a student plan within the next week. It will be available to current high school, college and graduate students.

Will I be able to watch the NFL playoffs with nfl sunday ticket?

Currently, only the regular season, out-of-market games are included with NFL Sunday Ticket. However, if you have a Sling TV or YouTube TV subscription and an HD antenna, you’ll be able to stream the NFL Playoffs.

Google wrested the rights to NFL Sunday Ticket from longtime owner DirecTV last year in a seven-year pact. The move is an attempt to boost the platform’s profile among those who are fleeing traditional cable and satellite TV bundles in favor of standalone streaming services. However, the company has yet to announce a full array of new packages that would lure those who still want to stay connected to their favorite teams. The new Ticket offering is also missing some old-school features such as a 4K add-on for the service and the ability to buy a single team or even a single game, which was a holy grail for many Sunday Ticket groupies when it was offered through DirecTV.
