The Football Rumor Mill Continues

The football rumor mill spins at an incredible rate each week. The information that is gathered and analyzed can be used to shape the next round of draft picks, free agent signings, or trades. But it is important to remember that the rumors are just that, rumors.

The rumors about the NFL’s version of insider trading continue to swirl with the Rams and Eagles, with some teams believing that the two front offices were colluding. It is a possibility that should be looked into by the league as it may lead to violations.

A few things to consider:

1. Jared Goff and Carson Wentz are represented by the same agency (Rep 1 Sports). In conversations with teams, the reps have said some interesting things about their clients. They have told teams that Goff is a laid back California kid and would not be well suited for the pressure of landing in a city like Cleveland or one of the New York teams. They feel that Los Angeles is a perfect fit for him.

2. The Texans have interest in 2026 four-star offensive lineman Jordan Bosa. He was a roommate of Ezekiel Elliott and has been described as a partier. He did not impress in his Combine interviews and rubbed some teams the wrong way. He also refused to take a drug test at the Combine. Teams are concerned about his use of molly and ecstasy.

3. The Redskins want a big defensive tackle and are intrigued by Alabama’s Jarran Reed and A’Shawn Robinson. However, they have other interests and aren’t necessarily gung-ho about either player.

4. The Redskins are looking to add more depth and speed on the defensive line. They are interested in the Alabama duo of Jarran Reed and A’Shawn Robison but aren’t gung-ho about either.

5. Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg is a strong candidate to go in the first round. He wowed with his performance in the Senior Bowl and impressed during workouts. His stock could rise further if he plays well at the Combine.
