NFL Interception Leaders

Are the NFL interception leaders in the NFL? That question should be asked by every fan and player. The New York Giants are off to a good start this season, but they are not alone. There are many good teams to watch for and some sleeper teams to keep an eye on as well.

Let’s face it. In the NFL, you need to have a great defense to have a chance at winning football games. The same can be said about a great offense. So who is the team with the best combination of each?

Most would say that the New York Giants have the best offense in football. That is a very strong statement, but only because Odell Beckham and rookie wide receiver Odrick Beckham has made the entire offense more productive than it was last year. Beckham is having a fantastic season, and he is playing in a system that allows him to do that. That alone is a great advantage.

However, what makes the Giants a legitimate Super Bowl contender is their defense. They are allowing just 3.5 points per game, which is tied for the best mark in the NFL. No team has allowed more yards per game, and the Giants are doing it without star defensive end Justin Smith. He is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering an ankle injury in the opener.

That leaves the secondary to cover opposing offenses. One of the best defensive players in football, a player that has been a mainstay in the Super Bowl parties, is safety Duron Robinson. He is one of the best cornerbacks in the game, and has been a major factor in the Giants victory over the Saints.

The New York Giants are a very exciting team. They are loaded with talent, and it shows. The defense is a rock, the offensive line is incredible, and now with Beckham and Robinson leading the way, the Giants are set to be a big story this year. This is a great team to get in front of this year, and hope to bring home the Lombardi trophy.

All things considered, this will be a fairly easy series. Green Bay and Chicago are the heavyweights, but this could be a very exciting game. Both of these teams have great defensive units, and each has an offense that can give the other problems. But as far as this particular battle is concerned, I think the Giants have the edge. Let’s not forget that they had the best defense in the league last year, so we’ll see if they can carry that over this year.

I also believe that the New York Jets will be a stronger unit this year without Darrelle Revis. The Jets have been known to rely on Revis for his skills, but he needs to be shadowed by standout corners like Revis, Prince Amukali, or even tandem with either Revis or Darrelle Revis. If the Jets do that, they will be in good shape to prevent opposing offenses from targeting the rookie quarterback, and thus preventing big plays.

If the season has proven anything, it’s that the best teams win the most often. That being said, the Super Bowl favorites are the team with the best players, and those players are the ones who play in the Super Bowl every year. These are the teams that most fans root for. So make sure you’re supporting the right ones this year!
